For those of you who don't know by now, Evil Ted Smith’s Foam Fanatics Facebook group is a community for fans of Evil Ted Smith, a master prop builder and director. The group is a place where you can share ideas, projects, or ask questions to other Foam Fanatics like yourself!
Evil Ted is known for his expertise in creating high-quality props using EVA foam. EVA foam is a rubber-like thermoplastic that is easy to work with, durable, and lightweight. You can build an entire costume with EVA foam ― shields, armor, helmet, weapons ― without getting weighed down. Personally, when personnel from the Studio have met with Evil Ted, we've found him to be anything but EVIL. In fact, he's friendly, still excited about props, and very informative.
The group is a great resource for anyone interested in prop building or cosplay. You can find tutorials, tips, and tricks from Evil Ted himself and other members of the community. The group is also a great place to share your own projects and get feedback from other members.
