Ignis of Parandor Bio

Ignis of Parandor

Ignis of Parandor

You think you can take me on? I'm Ignis of Parandor, the chosen champion of Fafnir, the lord of death and renewal. And you are...?

Ignis of Parandor was born in the snowy mountains of the northern region of Maeopia, where his clan of Owlbears lived in harmony with nature and worshiped Fafnir, the god of death and renewal. Ignis was always fascinated by the stories of Fafnir’s deeds, how he brought balance to the world by ending the lives of the wicked and giving new chances to the worthy. Ignis dreamed of becoming a paladin of Fafnir, a holy warrior who would serve his god and uphold his ideals.

Ignis trained hard to become a paladin, learning the skills of combat, survival, and divine magic. He also studied the teachings of Fafnir, memorizing his quotes and applying them to various situations. Ignis became a devout follower of Fafnir, but also a sarcastic and superior one. He often mocked those who did not share his faith or his views, and he considered himself to be better than most. He was especially disdainful of the mixed races who lived in the southern lands of Maeopia, whom he saw as weak, corrupt, and unnatural.

Ignis’s life changed when he was 60 years old, which is the age of adulthood for Owlbears. He was chosen by Fafnir to go on a sacred quest, to travel to the south and spread his word among the mixed races. Ignis was both honored and horrified by this task, as he had never left his homeland before and he had no desire to mingle with the southerners. However, he could not refuse his god’s will, and he set off on his journey.

Ignis soon discovered that the south was not as bad as he had imagined. He met many different people and cultures, some of whom were friendly and curious, others who were hostile and suspicious. He also encountered many dangers and challenges, such as bandits, monsters, and natural disasters. Ignis learned to adapt and survive in the unfamiliar environment, using his skills and his faith to overcome the obstacles. He also learned to appreciate the beauty and diversity of the south, and to respect some of the people he met, even if he did not agree with them.

Ignis also found out that his quest was not as simple as he had thought. He realized that not everyone was interested in hearing about Fafnir, and that some of them had their own gods and beliefs. He also realized that not everyone was evil or good, and that some of them had complex motives and histories. Ignis had to face his own prejudices and doubts, and to question his own assumptions and judgments. He had to decide whether to force his faith on others, or to accept their differences. He had to decide whether to follow Fafnir’s commands blindly, or to use his own wisdom and conscience.

Ignis is now 84 years old, which is the middle age for Owlbears. He is still on his quest, traveling across the south and spreading Fafnir’s word. He has grown as a person and as a paladin, becoming more open-minded, tolerant, and humble. He has also become more down-to-earth, enjoying the simple pleasures of life, such as fighting, hunting, good food, plentiful food, and pretty girls of any race. He still loves Fafnir, and he still quotes him on just about any topic, but he also respects other gods and beliefs, and he tries to find common ground with others. He is still sarcastic and superior, but he also has a sense of humor and a sense of adventure. He is still loyal and faithful, but he also has a sense of justice and a sense of compassion.

Ignis of Parandor is a tall and athletic Owlbear, with brown fur and feathers, yellow eyes, and a large beak. He wears golden plate armor and a cloak, and he carries a shield and a warhammer, both of which are emblazoned with Fafnir’s symbol, a skull with wings. He also wears a holy symbol of Fafnir around his neck, and he has a tattoo of Fafnir’s name on his chest. He speaks Common and Owlbear, and he has a deep and gruff voice. He is charismatic and confident, but also stubborn and prideful. He is brave and strong, but also reckless and impulsive. He is wise and devout, but also witty and irreverent.
